We just love the quintessential dinner-with-friends that was featured a few years ago in Elle Decor by Daniel Boulud in his column, “Daniels Dish”.  It has a divine iceberg salad followed by steak and ‘creamless’ corn as a simple, delicious seasonal supper.  Take a look below for a link to his perfect menu.

We like to even bring a bit more color into the meal by changing the corn side up a bit.  Go to your local farmer’s market and grab some delicious ears of corn, cut off the kernels and sautee them with scallions, butter and salt and pepper.  Then after just cooking it al dente, toss in quartered cherry tomatoes and and the chopped green stalks of your scallions.  Delicious, simple and beautiful!

And….let’s not forget dessert!!!  Strawberry rhubarb crisp is pretty perfect for a delightful dessert this time of year.  We love Ina Garten’s recipe below.  Scoop it out and add serve it with a some vanilla ice cream in one of our faceted goblets – delish!

Bon Appetit to all!!!
